While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on game day, the Seattle team booked their return to the play-offs after a two-year absence.
With this outcome, the Seahawks now lead their Conference race with a twelve and three mark, supplanting the Los Angeles, who fell to the number five seed with an eleven and four standing.

Signal-caller Darnold threw two interceptions but regrouped to deliver two scoring throws, including the second score to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.
The Rams held a 13-7 lead at the break before Kenneth Walker III broke free for a 55-yard touchdown run for the home side.
