The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy high.

The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for the city. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, fans this year showed equal or greater enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
